Biography

Dr. Sherif Elshahat Elsayed Mansour is an Associate Professor of Tectonics and Geochemistry, Geology Department, the Faculty of Science, Port Said University, Egypt. He earned his Ph.D. in Geology from the University of Heidelberg, Germany, M.Sc. from Kanazawa University, Japan, and a B.Sc. from Suez Canal University, Egypt

Over the course of his academic career, Dr. Mansour has held research and teaching positions at leading institutions across Egypt, Japan, Germany, the USA, and Canada, and he has developed extensive expertise in geochronology, thermochronology, tectonics, structural geology, and geochemistry

His research integrates fieldwork, analytical techniques, and numerical modeling to unravel complex tectonic, economic, and geomorphic processes, particularly in the Arabian-Nubian Shield, the East African Orogen, the East African Rift system, the Canary Islands, and the Red Sea rift system

Dr. Mansour has published widely in high-impact journals, advancing knowledge in tectonic evolution, basin development, and low-temperature thermochronology with applications in both fundamental research and resource exploration
