Dr. Mohammad Shehata is an Assistant Professor of Applied Geophysics at the Faculty of Science, Port Said University, Egypt. He earned his Ph.D. in Applied Geophysics from Kyushu University, Japan, an M.Sc. in integrating remote sensing, GIS, and geophysics from Port Said University, and a B.Sc. in Applied Geophysics from Suez Canal University, Egypt. His research expertise spans gravity, magnetotellurics, electromagnetics, GPR, and satellite-based geospatial analysis, with applications to groundwater exploration, seismic hazard assessment, and climate-driven environmental change. With more than a decade of academic and research experience in Egypt, Japan, and beyond, Dr. Shehata has published in leading international journals and presented at major conferences, including EGU and AGU, bringing a strong interdisciplinary perspective on how integrated geophysics and geospatial science can support sustainable development and resilience.
