Research Interests

- Design, and synthesize new anti-influenza agents to overcome the developed drug resistance toward existing drugs.

- The syntheses of a series of novel drugs evaluated against an RNA viral panel, and with moderate activity against the hepatitis C virus, Zika virus, and human respiratory syncytial virus.

- Instrumental analytical techniques such as chromatography, spectroscopy, and mass spectrometry help identify and quantify the presence of antibiotics in samples and pharmaceutical dosage forms.

- Using HPLC techniques to study the stability of the drugs

- Isocratic HPLC methods for quantitatively determining some drugs such as cinnarizine, methocarbamol, and paracetamol

- Quantitative proton nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (1H-qNMR) was used to quantify piracetam in pharmaceuticals, molnupiravir, favipiravir, and zinc gluconate

- The implementation of analytical quality by design concepts for the optimization of drug analysis

- Using ultrasound-assisted dispersive micro solid-phase extraction by applying unprecedented adsorbent-modified multiwalled carbon nanotubes for preconcentration and separation of trace cobalt (Co(II)) and nickel (Ni(II)) ions in diverse ecological samples before determination by flame atomic absorption spectrometry
