Professional and Academic Positions
● April2022- october 2022: Researcher in Fuel Cell group ,Energy 2050 Sheiffeild University, England. ● Fulbright/AMIDEAST Program, the University of Texas at Austin, Cockrell School of Engineering, Summer 2021 ● September 2015 - April 2019: Ph.D. student at Chemical and Petrochemical Engineering Department-EJUST, Alexandria, Egypt. (MOHE Scholarship) ● March 2018 - September 2018: Visiting researcher for 6 months in Yoshida's lab, Kyoto University, Kyoto, Japan. ● February 2011 - August 2015 Teacher Assistant in Natural Gas Engineering Program "NGEP", Faculty of Engineering, Port Said University, Port Said, Egypt.
Professional Experience Scientific experience: CO 2 absorption (3 years)
● a pilot plant that removes CO 2 from natural gas by absorption technique. Investigation of absorber column performance by changing chemical solvents: MEA, DEA and MDEA/PZ, solvent flow rate, solvent concentration, sour gas flow rate, packing height, packing type and CO 2 concentration
● Photocatalysis (4 years) ● WO 3 nanorods and nanoplates were synthesized via a hydrothermal process to compare their photoelectrochemical properties to be used in water splitting
Ag-loaded TiO 2 photocatalysts prepared by the photo-deposition method in an argon atmosphere exhibited highly selective photocatalytic activity for CO 2 reduction with water to produce CO, while the sample prepared under an air atmosphere predominantly promoted water splitting. ● Water splitting on the Co-TaON necking treated electrode was tested in two different electrolytes to measure its influence.
● Petroleum Engineering (3 years) ● Material Fabrication ( 3 years ) ● a copolymer of aniline and pyrrole (PANPI) was synthesized by the supercritical CO 2 (ScCO 2 ) as an alternative aid in polymer synthesis. ● Tungsten trioxide WO 3 was synthesized by hydrothermal technique. Then, the prepared WO 3 samples with two different morphologies such as nanoplates and nanorods were deposited on FTO via electrophoretic deposition (EPD) to investigate the photoelectrochemical activity of WO 3 ● silver loaded Titanium dioxide was prepared by photo-deposition by two methods, one under argon atmosphere and the other under air medium. ● TiO 2 -RGO Binary Composite and Ag-TiO2- RGO composite ● Tantalum (oxy)-nitride (TaON and Ta 3 N 5 ) semiconductors
