Biography

Dr. Soma served as a faculty member at the Faculty of Nursing, Port Said University, Egypt, for 18 years, where she gained extensive experience in teaching Mental Health Nursing, Fundamentals of Nursing, Medical-Surgical Nursing, and Community Health Nursing, along with supervising students in various clinical and community healthcare settings. She is currently an Assistant Professor of Mental Health Nursing at the College of Nursing, Gulf Medical University (GMU), Ajman, UAE, where she has been serving since 2024. She has more than 15 years of experience in Problem-Based Learning (PBL) and innovative teaching strategies, and is recognized for her strong leadership, academic, and interpersonal skills, with a strong commitment to student development and excellence in nursing education.
