Biography

Environmental scientist specializing in environmental monitoring using remote sensing and GIS. Research experience 
spans coastal lake and lagoon ecosystem assessment, land use/land cover change detection, heavy metal contamination 
and health risk assessment, and integrated remote sensing–GIS approaches to water resources management in arid and 
coastal systems of Egypt and Saudi Arabia.
