Biography

Walaa M. El-Henawy, PhD, lectures in TEFL and Educational Technology at Port Said University, researching EFL teacher education, brain-based learning, digital pedagogy, and self-regulated learning. Key studies address self-regulation in argumentative writing (2012) and brain-based instruction (2018). Recent work focuses on technology-enhanced instruction and teacher development, including co-edited volumes Optimizing Online English Language Learning and Teaching (2023), English as a Foreign Language in a New-Found Post-Pandemic World (2022), and Digital Language Learning and Teaching: Practices and Perspectives (2023), plus work on flipped reading (2023) and evidence-based practicum (2025). She serves as an editorial board member and reviewer for leading journals in applied linguistics and education.
